Od 1967 do 1974 roku, Declasse produkowało model Sabre , który szybko stał się hitem wśród miłośników samochodów. Samochód z klasycznym silnikiem V8 (OHV) był wszędzie, ale wkrótce zaczęły napływać skargi na jego niestabilne osiągi.

From 1967 to 1974, Declasse produced the Sabre model, which quickly became a hit with car enthusiasts. The car with the classic V8 (OHV) engine was everywhere, but soon there were complaints about its erratic performance.
In the 1980s, Declasse added a Supercharger to the engine, and the Sabre became a real monster on the road — hitting 60 mph in just 1 second! However, it was difficult to service the car outside the U.S., and, for example, in Japan they decided to replace the compressor with a turbine.
Thus was born Declasse Sabre Turbo, which could often be seen on the streets of Japan in drift competitions.
